Oasis Exhibit Will Turn Back The Clocks

A Photo exhibition that captures the early days of rock band Oasis is to open in Bath next week.

The collection of images by photographer Jill Furmanovsky will go on display at the Fopp record store in Westgate Buildings from Monday.

In the late 1990s, the photographer had unprecedented access to the band and candidly captured the stars at work and play over three years.

Most of the photos are of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who are the band's singer and guitarist respectively.

The band rose to fame in the mid-1990s with the album Definitely Maybe. A series of other top-selling albums followed.

The images are taken from Furmanovsky's Oasis collection, Was There Then.

The exhibition comes shortly after Oasis released their 'best of' album, Stop the Clocks.

All the images will be available for sale.
