I've always thought Oasis was a bit weak live...they always seemed to rely on the strength of their songs to carry them through...without much thought to showmanship and playing with energy.

However, last night's show in Vancouver was quite good - definitely better than when they came here 3 years ago. Liam sounded WAY better, and the new drummer kicks serious ass, which brought up the band's overall energy level.

The setlist was pretty good - a mix of the old and the new. I thought that with the exception of The Shock of Lightning, the new songs were a bit sub-par. That new song that Liam wrote is pure filler.

The best performance was easily Don't Look Back In Anger. Actually, most of the songs sounded quite good...Cigarettes and Alcohol, The Masterplan, Wonderwall, Lyla, all stood out as great....

My biggest complaint, however, was the length of the show. Considering Oasis' legendary discography, 18 songs is a bit of a joke. Radiohead was here last week and played 25 songs...Oasis should be doing the same thing, IMO.
