Robbie Williams: 'Oasis Deserve Brit Award'

Robbie Williams has claimed that Oasis deserve to win the special one-off 'Brits Album of 30 Years' at the Brit Awards.

The 'Bodies' singer has put his support behind the group's 1995 LP (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, which is up against records including Coldplay's A Rush Of Blood To The Head and The Verve's Urban Hymns.

"Of the potential winners Oasis definitely deserve it. It's been my favourite album of the last 30 years," he told The Sun.

"You can't argue with how fantastic that album is, and if it wins it deserves it."

Discussing his past rift with the 'Wonderwall' band, he added: "We've all grown up a bit so there won't be any trouble."

Further albums up for the prize include Dido's No Angel, Dire Straits's Brothers In Arms, Duffy's Rockferry, Keane's Hopes & Fears, Phil Collins's No Jacket Required, Sade's Diamond Life and The Man Who by Travis.

Williams will pick up the 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' prize at the event, which takes place at London's Earls Court tomorrow.
